Tomoki [Tomotaku]
Anime-Styled Web Novelist and Video Game Music Composer
About Me
My name is Jonathan or just Jon. Most of the time, I go by the nickname Tomoki, which is what most people call me here online. I am a huge fan of anime, light novels, manga, vide games, and music.
I enjoy series such as Nihon Falcom's Ys and Trails series, the Tales of franchise, anything that has to do with Pokemon, Type-Moon series like Fate/Stay Night, Tokusatsu shows like Super Sentai and Kamen Rider as well as Power Rangers. I'm obsessed with Sword Art Online as it is one of my all time favorite light novels and anime shows and I absolutely adore all things Marvel and MCU. Huge Spider-Man fan.
When I'm not obsessing over these things, I play the drums, workout, and draw.
I post new music almost every other day, which you can listen to on my SoundCloud. New Light Novel chapters get posted every week to about every other week on Wattpad. I stream on Twitch once or twice a month and the older streams as well as other videos can be found on my YouTube channel. I have lots of content for you to enjoy! All links are provided at the bottom of this page as well as all my socials!
Light Novels
20 years ago, I wrote my first anime-style novel when I was only 10 years old. It was a series based loosely around my everyday life, but with a fantasy/shounen twist. It was rather unpolished since it was my first work, but it was the stepping stone for the many stories to come after it.
Throughout the end of high school and into college, I worked on a bunch of light novels and stories, many of which never see the light of day and are only known by me. My more recent works were made public, including Forgotten World, Predestined Bride, and my currently running series, The Legendary Bladesmith, which will be my longest story to make and will run for about a decade.
I hope to one day publish a book officially that can be sold in stores all around the world like all the amazing light novels from Japan.
Video Game Music Making
I've always loved video game music since I was little. Whether it be NES, Gameboy, GBA, SNES, Genesis, etc, I love that style of retro 8-bit, 16-bit, and chiptune style music. I have a musical background, having played trumpet in my school band, singing in my school choir, or playing the drums alongside my guitarist friend. Music's been in my life for years. I recently started making my own original tracks using digital programs as well as covers of other game tracks that I love.
One day, I'd love to be the main composer of an indie game or even for a bigger title!
